Georgia State Patrol troopers arrested Amanda Passmore of Cartersville and booked her into the county jail early Friday morning for two counts of serious injury by vehicle, concealing the identity of a vehicle, driving with an expired license plate, improper lane change, possession of methamphetamine, DUI alcohol, driving within the emergency lane, and reckless driving.

Passmore was the driver of the car that was involved in an accident with a semi-trailer truck that shut down I-75 northbound just north of exit 290 at around 8:30 Thursday night for a couple of hours. I-75 southbound at this location was temporarily shut down to allow for the landing of two medical helicopters.

Passmore was transported to Cartersville Medical Center and arrested upon her release from CMC.

A male passenger in the car was found to have an altered level of consciousness and was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Another male passenger was entrapped in the car and had to be extricated. He was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in a separate medical helicopter with no feeling from the waist down and numbness to his hands.

Neither male sustained life-threatening injuries. However, both males were intoxicated as well, have outstanding Bartow County warrants, and will be arrested when released from the hospital.

The driver of the truck was uninjured.
