ROME POLICE REPORTS

Rome Police are investigating a reported armed robbery on the campus of Shorter University Sunday afternoon.

According to police reports, the victim told officers that he was walking in Roberts Hall when he was approached by a white male who asked: “Where is my weed money?” The victim asked the man who he was looking for because he had no idea what he was talking about.

The suspect then lifted up his shirt, exposing what appeared to be the grip of a revolver and stated: “Give me the money or I’ll shoot you.”

When the victim said he didn’t have any money, the suspect pulled out the revolver, pointed it at him, took his cell phone and fled on foot.

The suspect was described as a white male, 5’9”, 170 pounds, with tattoos on his right arm.

He was wearing a hat that had what appeared to be a Pizza Hut emblem on it.

Police are checking to see if there is any security camera footage of the incident.
