Police in Bartow County arrested the suspect in a shooting incident at the Sandra D. Hudson Villas on East 14th Street in Rome.
According to the Rome Police Department:
Jaquavious Jaquail Carter, 22, of Cartersville, was arrested around 9:25 p.m. Friday by the Cartersville Police Department. No one was injured in the incident, which took place Friday afternoon.
A combined effort, with the Rome Floyd Metro Task Force and the Rome Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit, led to the arrest. Various drugs and two guns were confiscated, said RPD Maj. Rodney Bailey.
Carter is currently being held on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and discharging a firearm near a public highway, Bailey said.
