Man who was stabbed earlier this month, also jailed on aggravated assault charge
A second arrest has been made in connection with a knife fight on Dean Avenue back on August 12.
According to an arrest warrant at the Floyd County Jail:
37-year-old Bobby Dustin Lindsey of Rome got into an argument with 32-year-old Charles Lee Frost of Aragon. Lindsey pulled out a knife, and Frost went back into the establishment and returned with a knife as well.
Frost stabbed Lindsey twice, once in the chest and once in the stomach area.
Lindsey also had a pair of long pliers to attack Frost with.
Frost was arrested while Lindsey was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Lindsey was arrested Tuesday on the felony warrant charging him with aggravated assault.
Man accused of vandalizing church in West Rome
A homeless man is facing a felony charge of vandalism to a place of worship.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
36-year-old James Tommy Turner pulled a cross up out of the ground at the church on Cleveland Avenue and tried to break it.
Turner admitted to the vandalism, according to the report.
Cartersville man facing multiple charges in Floyd County
A Cartersville man is facing multiple charges following a series of incidents on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
29-year-old Marcus Demond Williams damaged the door of a residence on Green and Gold Boulevard by kicking it, having been banned from all housing authority property.
He then called 911 to report people yelling on East 13th Street, when he was actually underneath his vehicle at a location on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
When police arrived, Williams initially refused to come out from under his vehicle and then resisted arrest by striking officers with his body and head.
He also spit on one of the officers.
Williams is charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of obstruction of law enforcement, false statements and writings, loitering, criminal trespass, and unlawful conduct during a 911 call.
Two charged with theft by receiving stolen property
Two people were arrested after they were found with a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of Taco Bell on Turner McCall Boulevard Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
40-year old Joshua Blake Strickland of Silver Creek and 25-year-old Shelby Savanah Bailey of Rome are both charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property.
The 2006 Ford Freestar van was valued at more than $1,500.
Man accused of damaging vehicle at car dealership
A man is accused of causing more than $500 in damage to a vehicle on the lot of the Toyota dealership on Highway 411.
According to the arrest warrant:
51-year-old Brian Scott Shook of Adairsville cut the seat belt of the vehicle and then took an item from inside.
Shook is charged with felony counts of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, and theft by taking items from a motor vehicle.
