2023 Elections: Ways to Vote

As we get closer to the November 7 municipal elections, the public is being reminded about the different ways they can vote.

City of Rome voters will be casting ballots for the city commission while Cave Spring voters will choose members of the city council.

All Floyd County voters will be casting ballots in a special purpose, local option sales tax referendum.

If you plan to vote absentee

  • Visit securemyabsenteeballot.sos.ga.gov/s/ to download/print the application
  • Fill out an application in person at the Floyd County Elections Office, 18 East 12th St., Rome
  • E-mail [email protected] using the same voter name as submitted on the voter registration form. Applications must be completely filled out. Missing date of birth or signature will be rejected

Early in-person voting (advance voting)

There are three locations for Advanced Voting Monday – Friday

  • Floyd County Elections Office, 18 East 12th St., Rome
  • Rome Civic Center, 400 Civic Center Dr., Rome
  • Anthony Recreation Center, 2901 Garden Lakes NW Blvd., Rome

Key dates

AUGUST 21 – First day to request Absentee Ballot
OCTOBER 10 – Last day to register to vote in the November 7 General Election
OCTOBER 16-20 – Early Voting at the Floyd County Elections Office from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
OCTOBER 21 – Mandatory Saturday Voting at the Floyd County Elections Office (9 a.m.-5 p.m.)
OCTOBER 23-27 – Early Voting at the Rome Civic Center and the Floyd County Elections Office (8 a.m.-5 p.m.)
OCTOBER 28 – Mandatory Saturday Voting at the Floyd County Elections Office (9 a.m.-5 p.m.)
OCTOBER 29 – Sunday Voting at the Floyd County Elections Office (1 p.m.-5 p.m.)
OCTOBER 30-31 – Early Voting at the Anthony Center & Floyd County Elections Office (8 a.m.-5 p.m.)
NOVEMBER 3 – Early Voting at the Anthony Recreation Center and Floyd County Elections Office (8 a.m.-5 p.m.)

November 7 – Election Day
