Man charged with tampering with evidence
A 46-year-old Rome man is accused of helping another person destroy evidence.
According to an arrest warrant:
Nathan Tyrone Wright was sitting in the back seat of a patrol vehicle with another man and served as the lookout as that other man swallowed methamphetamine in order to prevent prosecution.
The incident occurred on September 14 at a location on Malone Drive.
Wright is charged with tampering with evidence.
Two arrested for possession of crack during traffic stop
A traffic stop on Charles Street at Nixon Avenue in South Rome ended with the arrest of an Armuchee man on drug charges Thursday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Police stopped a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Joshua Jodell Leach for not having a valid license plate.
There was an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle along with suspected crack cocaine.
A passenger in the vehicle, 43-year-old Freda Jean Turner of Bremen was also arrested.
Leach and Turner are charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and open container.
Leach was additionally charged with a license plate display violation while Turner is also being held on a couple of felony probation violations.
Man arrested for possession THC oil, firearm
A 23-year-old Rome man was arrested on drugs and weapons charges following a traffic stop on East 12th Street at Maple Road Thursday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Wil Norman Pace Brownlow was found with THC oil and a Glock pistol after a K9 alert on the vehicle.
Brownlow was initially stopped for a window tint violation and for running a red light.
He was additionally charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
