-Rome Police Department News Release-
On November 4, a shooting was reported at or near 504 East 19th Street.
Officers working at the scene collected evidence and Rome CID conducted a follow-up, conducted interviews, and collected additional evidence.
This developed into enough probable cause for a search warrant for the residence of 504 East 19th Street.
The search warrant was executed on November 9, 2023, at 1:00 pm with the assistance of Rome/Floyd SWAT, Floyd County Police, and Floyd County Sheriff’s Department.
In the execution of the search warrant, five subjects were detained and transported to the Floyd County Jail on various charges.

Kenyda Deshaun Sullivan, 22, Rome
Jamarcus Omarion Jaquez Lackey, 18, Rome
Dwight Devaughn Chambers, 48, Rome
Derricus Ramon Whatley Jr., 20, Rome
Several firearms and drugs were recovered in the execution of the search warrant.
