An 18-year-old was arrested in the shooting of another man at the Bekaert Union Hall on Darlington Drive on Saturday.
According to an arrest warrant:
Jamarcus Omarion Jaquez Lackey punched 22-year-old Nakayaus Waddell in the face during a verbal altercation.
Lackey then pulled a pistol out of the waistline of his pants and shot Waddell several times.
The wounds were considered non-life threatening.
There were several other people inside the building at the time of the shooting.
Lackey is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and reckless conduct.
