Film production delays extend local road closures

Floyd County Emergency Management –

Rainy weather last week impacted movie production in Rome, causing schedule changes with local road closures.

Production is expected to conclude this week as filming continues on the West Rome bypass, which remains closed until Wednesday between 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. between Blacks Bluff Road and US 27.

Please detour using Walker Mountain Road and Blacks Bluff Road.

The final day of filming is expected to now be Thursday, April 18 between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m., closing local roads in two areas:

· Park Avenue at the Old Mill will be closed from South First Street at Gilbreath Center to West First Avenue at the railroad tracks:

· Darlington Drive will be closed from the railroad tracks, and across the highway overpass to Old Lindale Road. The on-ramp from US 27 traveling south at AgPro will open to Cedar Avenue, and Old Lindale Road will be able to exit onto US 27 traveling north:
