Man arrested on aggravated assault charges

An argument between neighbors on Beverly Drive Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a 41-year-old Rome man on two counts of aggravated assault.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Jeffrey Wayne Padrick pointed a pistol at one of the neighbors.

A Rome Police Department report states that Padrick had been playing loud music when the argument ensued.

Padrick told officers that he had been having issues with the neighbors for some time.

Man charged with meth possession

A Shannon man is facing a methamphetamine possession charge following his arrest Wednesday at his Second Street home.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

37-year-old Kenneth Matthew Skelton was found with a white, crystal-like substance believed to be meth.
