The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is holding a virtual Public Information Open House to provide information on the final phase of the Old Alabama Road widening project. Phase III is currently underway and includes changing the intersection of Old Alabama Road and SR 61 from a planned traffic signal to a dual-lane roundabout.
The roundabout will improve safety and reduce congestion at the intersection. More information about roundabouts can be found here.
The Old Alabama Highway widening project is under construction with a current completion date of summer 2025. Information about Phase III and the full project can be found here.
