Woman arrested on aggravated assault charge
A Coosa woman is accused of attempting to strike a 24-year-old man with her vehicle in North Rome on Sunday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
19-year-old Teniya Ambreiya Houston tried to hit the man as he stood on the sidewalk on Southern Street.
She is charged with aggravated assault.
Teens from Rockmart and Atlanta accused of burglarizing Cave Spring property
Two teens were arrested Friday on charges of 1st-degree burglary, and 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
17-year-old Dee Jay Garner of Rockmart and 18-year-old Markel Xavier Robbins of Atlanta kicked in the door of a property on Gadsden Road in Cave Spring, causing approximately $2,000 in damage.
Report: Man took wallet from vehicle at hospital
A Rome man was arrested after allegedly taking a financial transaction card from the vehicle on Turner McCall Boulevard on Sunday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
31-year-old Deandre Lontrell Gray entered a 2015 Toyota Corolla in the parking lot of the hospital and took the victim’s wallet.
He then attempted to use the victim’s bank card.
Gray is charged with entering an automobile and financial transaction card theft.
Woman arrested for having stolen vehicle
A 29-year-old Garden Lakes woman is facing a felony theft by receiving stolen property charge following her arrest on Sunday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Cierra Danielle Bagley was in the driver’s seat of a stolen 2009 Nissan Versa valued at $5,000 at a location on East Second Avenue.
Man charged with meth possession, DUI
A 70-year-old Rome man is facing drug charges during a traffic stop on Highway 27 South at Vanns Valley Road over the weekend.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A vehicle driven by Larry Kimbal Garner was pulled over after crossing over the single white line multiple times.
A search then turned up a pipe with a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.
A cup containing Michelob Ultra was found in the vehicle.
Garner is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug-related objects, DUI, open container, and failure to maintain a lane.
Report: Woman found with fentanyl
A Rome woman was arrested on Calhoun Highway in the Shannon area Sunday on charges of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
26-year-old Haley Marie Snyder was found with a white powder in her wallet that she stated was fentanyl.
Snyder is also charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license and driving without insurance.
