Man charged with terroristic threats, battery

A Shannon man was arrested early Monday at his Bells Ferry Road home after allegedly threatening to kill everyone in the residence.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

26-year-old Ricky Lee Selman also punched one of the victims in the left eye.

Selman is charged with three counts of terroristic threats and acts and a single count of battery.

Man charged with false statements and writings

A Tennessee man is accused of making a false statement in an official complaint against a Floyd County Jail officer.

According to an arrest warrant:

21-year-old Tzvi Yehuda Strauss made the fictitious statement on January 3.

He is charged with a felony count of false statements or writings.

In November, Strauss was charged with influencing a witness, false statements and writings, and attempting to obstruct a witness from giving testimony after reportedly fabricating false allegations against a probation officer, to prevent that officer’s testimony in a probation revocation hearing.

Teen charged with an additional count of entering an auto

A teen arrested in January for allegedly entering automobiles on McCrary Drive and Mount Alto Road in October of last year is now also charged in a similar crime on Bollen Court.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

17-year-old Brisyn Adonis-Jamal Alexander entered a vehicle and took property belonging to the victim in November.

He was then found with the stolen property in January.

Alexander is charged with a felony count of entering an auto.
