A West Rome teen was arrested over the weekend after reportedly fleeing from Georgia State Troopers.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A state trooper attempted to stop two motorcycles that were going 88 in a 55-mile-per-hour zone on Highway 27.
Both motorcycles fled, reaching speeds of 140, 161, and 176 miles per hour.
17-year-old Alex Elisio Gabriel-Gonzalez attempted to cross the median, laid down his motorcycle, and fled on foot.
He was apprehended and charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, speeding, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, driving on a divided highway, improper lane change, driving in violation of license class, and obstruction of law enforcement.
