Miguel Jiminez Vergara of Chula Vista, California, posted the top time of 10:22.22 to win the Men’s Open at Wednesday’s Cedartown 5K.
Linden Williamson of Boerne, Texas, had the top time in the Women’s Open at 12:58.51.
Christian Torres of Bogota, Colombia, had the top time in the Quad Division at 14:25.46.
In the Female Junior Division, Isabel Crew of Dripping Springs, Texas, was the top time at 15:18.51 while Ben Vondrak of Atlanta won the Junior Male Division with a time of 15:41.68.
Fidel Aguilar of Meza, Arizona, had the best time in the Master’s Division at 11:26.07, and Gary Brendel of Sterling, Massachusetts, had a time of 14:46.29, which was best in the Grand Master’s Division.
Over 40 wheelchair athletes competed in the Cedartown 5K on Wednesday.
Country music artist and Polk County native Dalton Dover was the starter for the event.

Now in its 22nd year, the Cedartown 5K and Training Camp brings together wheelchair athletes from around the globe.
In partnership with Shepherd Center and Atlanta Track Club’s Peachtree 10K, we stand united in support of the sport of wheelchair racing.
Before Wednesday’s 5K, the athletes participated in a training camp that helps to get them acclimated to the Georgia heat and humidity ahead of the Peachtree Road Race.
They also participated in a track meet at Darlington School in Rome on Tuesday.
Hall of Fame inductees this year were former committee member Rita Mull and current committee member/former CWATC athlete Chris Holcomb.
