In observance of the Labor Day Holiday, City of Rome administrative offices will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025. Provided are service changes and closures:
Rome Solid Waste Schedule
- Monday routes will be serviced on Tuesday
- Tuesday routes will be serviced on Wednesday
- Residents are reminded to place carts curbside by 7:00 a.m. on their adjusted collection day to ensure timely pickup.
Walker Mountain Landfill
- The landfill will be closed on Monday, September 1 and will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, September 2.
Rome Transit Department (RTD)
- RTD will be closed on Monday, September 1 and will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, September 2.
Town Green Fountain
- The fountain at the Town Green will close for the season after Labor Day.
