Warrant: Man possessed child pornography
A Rome man was arrested on Monday at his East Second Avenue apartment on a felony count of sexual exploitation of children.
According to an arrest warrant:
23-year-old Rayshun Demond Dozier uploaded and accessed a pornographic video of two minors, believed to be 12 years old, on May 2.
Woman charged with child cruelty
A West Rome woman is facing charges following an incident at her residence on Wilkerson Road on Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
39-year-old Christa Lynne Page attacked a child, punching the victim in the chest.
Page is charged with 1st-degree cruelty to children and battery.
Woman charged in conspiracy to smuggle contraband into prison
A Decatur woman has been charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and possession of items prohibited for inmates.
According to the arrest warrants:
38-year-old Tiffany Shantel Pitt conspired with two others to smuggle contraband into the Floyd County Prison in July.
Pitt agreed to place eight ounces of pipe tobacco in a trash can at the Sara Hightower Regional Library.
The contraband was located by a prison officer before it could be recovered by an inmate.
Man charged with tattooing the body of a person under the age of 18
A Rome man is accused of giving a tattoo to a minor.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
22-year-old Tavarian Dequan Jackson tattooed a 14-year-old at a location on East Glover Street between August 10 and August 25.
Jackson is charged with a misdemeanor count of tattooing the body of a person under the age of 18.
He has been released on bond.
