A man from Decatur, Georgia, is accused of depositing a check belonging to the Floyd County Board of Commissioners into his own account.
According to an arrest warrant:
The check for $18,562.33 had been altered to look like it had been made out to 31-year-old Darrell Lee Powell.
Powell was arrested Monday on a felony warrant charging him with identity fraud.
