For the 21st straight year, the Rome Water and Sewer Department has received a Platinum Award from the Georgia Association of Water Professionals.
“That is in recognition of complete and consistent permit compliance during the calendar year of 2024,” said Rome City Commissioner Jim Bojo, who chairs the city’s water and sewer committee. “Water and sewer are doing a fabulous job, and they are being recognized for that. It’s a great thing, 21 straight years.”
The Georgia Association of Water Professionals is a not-for-profit association with a membership of over 4,000.
The award recognizes facilities operated by corporate and utility Members.
