A man was killed in a skydiving accident in Polk County Thursday.
The Polk Standard Journal reports the incident occurred in a field off of Coaling Road east of Cedartown around 2 p.m.
On Friday Polk County Coroner Norman Smith identified the man as 47-year-old Nicolay Grushin of Bonney Lake, Washington.
Coroner Smith stated the Federal Aviation Administration is handling the investigation with the assistance of the GBI medical examiner’s office.
