The 2023 President’s Gala at Shorter University welcomed Hall of Fame Football Coach Mark Richt to the campus on Thursday night.
The President’s Gala kicked off with a brief meet-and-greet at the Nelson and Trudy Price Learning Center before moving to the main event at the Shorter University gym.
Shorter University President Dr. Don Dowless introduced Coach Richt as the primary guest speaker.
Coach Richt reminisced about the highlights and cherished moments of his career, candidly shared his journey with Parkinson’s disease, and also imparted some valuable advice in his testimony in the video above.
Coach Richt led the University of Georgia and later the University of Miami football teams for a combined eighteen seasons. His teams secured two SEC championships, five SEC division championships, and one ACC division title.
