Man arrested for fleeing or attempting g to elude, multiple other charges
An Alabama man has been charged locally following a pursuit that began in Chattooga County and entered Floyd County back on November 25.
According to an arrest warrant:
A vehicle driven by 37-year-old Steven Paul Wilson was traveling over 100 miles per hour on Highway 27 North while failing to maintain a lane, and driving on the wrong side of the roadway.
Wilson also ran red lights and drove recklessly on city and county streets.
A firearm was found in the vehicle along with methamphetamine and cocaine.
Wilson is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude and multiple other felonies and misdemeanors.
Teen accused of entering automobile with two other juveniles
A Rome teen has been arrested on felony warrants charging him with entering an automobile, theft by taking articles from a vehicle, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
According to the warrants:
17-year-old Julian Quarnell Williams entered a vehicle on Callier Springs Road on November 15 and took an MK purse, a Coach tote, and perfume with a combined value of $1,500.
Williams is also accused of getting two juveniles to commit the crimes with him.
The juveniles admitted to being with Williams and it was seen on video.
Two arrested on drug charges
Two people were arrested on drug charges during the execution of a search warrant at their home on Maple Road Wednesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
51-year-old Earl Ballew and 43-year-old Christie Renee Grafton were found with methamphetamine, Gabapentin tablets, and glass smoking devices.
Both are charged with possession of meth, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, and possession of drug-related objects.
Ballew was additionally charged with obstruction after he ran from police and hid in a closet.
