AdventHealth Redmond is receiving $934,000 in federal funds that will be used to launch the Northwest Georgia Rural Initiative for Transportation.
The initiative aims to provide non-emergency transport to improve access to community and mental health resources for underserved residents.
U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to expand health care services for families in metro Atlanta and across North Georgia.
Isaac Sendros, CEO of AdventHealth Georgia Market, issued the following statement:

Meanwhile, the Healing Hands Clinic of Gordon County is receiving $190,000.
The Healing Hands Clinic of Gordon County is a nonprofit, free medical clinic for residents of Gordon County. The Clinic will use the Federal funding to acquire much-needed medical and office equipment and make upgrades to its new facility, including additional treatment rooms and roof repairs.
