-Staff reports-
A 6-year-old from Rome is a quarter-finalist in the Ranger Rick, Jr. Ranger competition, a nationwide campaign supporting the National Wildlife Federation.
Asher has reached the top 1% of contest entrants; however, to maintain his position and continue moving forward, he needs community support.
If he wins, Asher would receive a wildlife adventure with conservationist Jeff Corwin and a $20,000 prize.
However, what makes this especially meaningful is that he has already committed to donating 25% of any winnings to help provide meals for children in public schools who need assistance.
According to Jessica Doyle, Asher’s mother, he was born premature but has always had a resilient, adventurous spirit. During COVID, the family spent a great deal of time at Zoo Atlanta and the Georgia Aquarium, where Asher’s love for wildlife really took off.
He’s especially fascinated by animals like bison and sharks and is constantly learning about how to protect them and is constantly learning about how to protect them. He and his brother love learning about wildlife, the earth, and our precious and fragile ecosystem. He would love to find a way to blend science and his love for animals to help ensure wildlife and habitat conservation for future generations.
