In a move to expand whole-person cancer care in Rome, AdventHealth has cut the ribbon on a new Cancer Pavilion next to the Emperors Stadium.
On Wednesday, medical personnel, AdventHealth Admin, and community members gathered under the hot sun to celebrate the opening of the new Cancer Pavilion in Rome. Which opened right next to the Emperors Stadium.
The event featured speeches from doctors, patients, and AdventHealth Admin, all of which highlighted the effort by AdventHealth to localize cancer treatment to the Rome-Floyd area. The building features treatments for many different kinds of cancer. With further expansion of the buildings capabilities down the line. As of now, the building offers a center focused on Breast Cancer, bone density, and diagnostic imaging, hematology and oncology specialists, a new infusion center for cancer patients, and an on-site pharmacy.
The event ended with a self-guided tour of the facility so event-goers can experience what the new building has to offer and see what is to come of the building in the future.
