For 77 years, the Coosa Valley Fair has marked the unofficial start of fall in Northwest Georgia.
Tuesday is opening day for the 2026 edition of the fair, with a Grand Opening Special from 5 until 10 p.m.
There will be a ribbon-cutting at 5, with carloads admitted for $10 from 5 until 6. (No trucks or vans; CASH ONLY for this special)
There are also armbands for unlimited rides for $38.
The Flower Show, Homemaking, Photography, and Art exhibits open, along with the Coosa Valley Village Building.
Featured attractions include:
6:00 p.m. —Jurassic Kingdom Dinosaur Show
6:00 p.m. — Michael Frisbee Magic
7:00 p.m. —Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean Aerial Show
7:00 p.m. — Coosa Valley Fair Cheerleading Exhibition & Spirit Competition
8:00 p.m. —Jurassic Kingdom Dinosaur Show
8:00 p.m. — Michael Frisbee Magic
9:00 p.m. —Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean Aerial Show
The fair will continue through Saturday.
