An Armuchee man who reportedly fled from police back on November 30 was taken into custody late last week.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
38-year-old Roger Dewayne Callahan drove at speeds of over 70 miles per hour in a 40-mile-per-hour zone in the area of Monroe Drive and Old Dalton Road.
He fled into an underdeveloped area of a subdivision and was able to get away by driving over large rocks.
Callahan is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, speeding, failure to maintain a lane, operation of an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance and a stop sign violation.
