Golfers and businesses throughout the community are invited to hit the links for a great cause at the Willard Nixon Golf Tournament, sponsored by Rome Orthopaedic Center, on Friday, October 23, at Stonebridge Golf Course.
Hosted by Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation, the tournament will bring together local golfers, businesses, and community supporters for a day of friendly competition while raising funds to support the Rome Orthopaedic Center Outstanding Senior Athlete Award Scholarships. All proceeds from the tournament will go toward these scholarships, helping deserving local student-athletes pursue their educational goals.
The tournament will feature a 9 a.m. shotgun start, with team registration available for $400 per team. Participants will have the opportunity to compete for prizes awarded to the top three teams, along with contests for closest to the pin and longest drive.
Businesses and organizations looking for an affordable way to support the event can also become a hole sponsor for just $100. Hole sponsorships provide an opportunity to showcase a business while demonstrating a commitment to local youth, athletics, and the community.
With limited team and sponsorship opportunities available, interested golfers and businesses are encouraged to register early.
